Head shoulders knees and toe...

Good afternoon everyone. Hoping you all are feeling ok at least. :o) Well, there have been a few things that has happened. My hands. Whatever this is, it's not catchy which is great. I wouldn't want my babies and of course anyone else getting this. Whew! Dh and I were wacthing tv in the living room. He was on the couch and I in my chair. My chair reclines and every night, he rubs my feet with lotion. He just slathers the lotion on. It feels so good. He checks my feet to see if there is anything going on or any bed sores happening. Well, omg!... just the other night my left foot was fine. When he picked my foot up, on the left heal, theres this 3-4 inch sore! Ick! He takes extra care on that one. The left foot is the one I broke, and now this. Since my doctor didn't do anyrhing to help me, dh has been going over to talk to the CVS pharmacy. He called my doctor to let her know that I really needed something for my hands and my left foot. Dh would take pictures with his cell phone to show him. And then the sore on my foot happened. All I know about diabeties is how to eat and to watch your feet. It's like I know about the inside stuff, but not about what to expect will happen on the out side. A couple of days ago...{finally getting back on my hands subject}....when he noticed that thing on my foot and this odd thing on my hands, he said that "HE" would take me to the ER!!! Wow! When I go, I've always gone bymyself because he hates that place. Even like if I was in the hospital for a few days, he wouldn't come to stay with me. Anyway...I said thank you, buy no. He said that he would take me right then. And when he said that, that bothered me bedause of the fact on how he is with the hospital. I told him to let me think about it. I finally let him take me and the place was packed! when we finallu got back to be seen, I told dh I only wanted to have my hands looked at and go home. T just felt since it was so packed, I'd give someone else a room. I got a script for some cream. The doctor gave me a couple of those rubber gloves they wear. Then he said to rub that stuff on my hands and put thos rubber gloves on. And for my foot, Put lotion on my feet then the medicine and then put mole hair on my heal to keep it soft and to just make sure the cream srayed in placed. I'm suppose to do this 3 x day. I can't really, untill dh comes home. Geesh....all of this just to talk about my hands and feet! LOL :o) This pretty much wore me out! :o) I'm going to go nnow. make sure you laugh!!! :o) Thats whats keeping me hear! *****************************POOF***********************************

I would really like to take a look at your hands and see what they look like. I do know my sister with severe diabetes has to be very careful with any sore that develops on her feet. I am glad that dh is looking closely at you and was even willing to go to ER with you when he felt concerned. I was going to say in regards to your daughter and grandson and their fire phobias I had a terrible fire phobia that got worse when my father nearly died from drinking a bottle of rub alcohol when I was 12. I would excuse myself TWICE at every meal and go out and see if the house was on fire. I could not help myself. I would also go out periodically during the day to check. I knew it was crazy but I could not stop. My fire phobia started to disappear when I went to live with my aunt when I was 13 where life was much calmer. I hope they can get some outside help to relieve their fears. A house fire can be so devastating. Gerry
